Hindustani Classical Music Performer and Guru

Dr Gopa Chakrabarti is a prolific artist, versatile performer and award winning Guru to hundreds of students. She has received training in Hindustani Classical Music from some of India’s most eminent Gurus, and has performed all across India at prominent venues and music festivals. Trained in Kirana Gharana gayaki, Dr Chakrabarti is a modern-day Guru who brings together tradition and contemporary music influences through her teaching techniques. In 2012 she received an award for ‘Best Music Teacher’ from the Government of India presented by then President of India, the Honorable Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
